This position is full-time, high visibility role as the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS) mission planning trainer and on-site support representative at Strike Fighter Weapons School Pacific in Lemoore, CA. Candidate must possess current flight experience preferably in the F/A-18 Hornet. Position is multi-dimensional and involves duties as an instructor, on-site technical support, liaison with the US military, and business development. As an instructor the candidate will be responsible for providing formal and informal JMPS mission planning training at SFWSPAC and other military installations. The training consists of operational mission planning (i.e. cross-country routes), tactical mission planning for specific aircraft, and basic administrative applications. Candidate will also help determine course content and student learning objectives; prepare lesson plans, skill development job sheets, and comprehension tests; assist in preparation of user documentation; and verify user documents against the planning software. Other training related activities include but are not limited to evaluating training materials and recommending revisions to maintain course integrity; maintaining class records; authoring, administering and evaluating course exercises; and assessing student performance.
In addition to local training support it may be required to conduct on-site training visits to other CONUS and OCONUS US air stations or possibly squadrons afloat. Other duties will include providing subject matter expertise (SME) and technical support as needed to on-site fleet customers, remotely to off-site fleet customers, and to the Customer Support Center in Marlton, NJ.
The candidate will attend meetings with mission planning software developers and the fleet mission planning community as well as act as a liaison between US military, project customer, developers, and program leads to provide advice and supporting data to correctly align training with the needs of the fleet.
Candidate should possess excellent writing and briefing skills including exceptional command of grammar and business communications skills. Working knowledge in the development of learning objectives; methodologies of lecture; demonstration and practical exercises and use of training aids.
Position has a minimum requirement for successfully possessing and maintaining a Secret clearance. Candidate selected will be subject to a government security investigation, and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Selected candidate must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship upon first day of work.
